Current data reveals that the EOS network, which shares its name with the 66th largest altcoin, is facing a significant level of activity. According to Bitquery’s data, the number of transactions on the EOS network suddenly exceeded 1 million today. As the number of transactions on the network increased, so did the price of the altcoin.

Number of Transactions on EOS Network Exceeds 1 Million

There has been significant activity on the EOS network, which was unable to keep up with the bull that started in 2020 and failed to set a record in 2021 like other altcoins. According to the data provided by Bitquery, the number of transactions on the network suddenly exceeded 1 million today. Before this sudden increase, the number of transactions on the network was averaging around 7,500 per day.

The EOS network last made headlines on December 6, when it was celebrating its 5th year, for reaching an important milestone. EOS achieved a significant accomplishment by reaching the 2,000-day milestone with zero network interruptions.

EOS Coin’s Price Increased with Transaction Number

Following the increase in network activity, the price of the EOS coin, which shares its name with the network, also increased. With its market value, EOS, the 66th largest altcoin, rose over 10% to $0.85 in the last 24 hours. Since then, EOS has given back some of its gains and is trading at $0.8359, up 7.48% in the last 24 hours.

Moreover, the data shows that the altcoin’s trading volume has also increased significantly along with the increase in transaction numbers and price. With current data, EOS’s trading volume has risen 40.44% to $174.74 million in the last 24 hours.

EOS, which reached its all-time high (ATH) of $22.89 on April 29, 2018, continues its journey without renewing its record since then. With current prices, the altcoin is priced 96.35% below the ATH level it reached 6 years ago.
